DAY 1-4

FOZ DO IGUAÇU

FOZ DO IGUAÇU TRAVEL GUIDE

DAY 1

Foz do Iguaçu Arrival

Upon arrival in Foz do Iguaçu, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your 5-star hotel. During this transfer, which will be in a comfortable air-conditioned coach, your guide will relay some basic information about the program for the coming days. After check-in, the rest of the day is free to spend at your leisure.
 

DAY 2

Iguaçu Falls Discovery

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast buffet before setting out on an excursion to the National Park of Foz do Iguaçu, where you will visit the majestic Iguaçu Falls on the Brazilian side of the falls. On this tour you will have a chance to see the approximately 280 cascades. A guide will relate many stories associated with the falls, and you will also have the chance to take unforgettable photographs. Having worked up an appetite, you may enjoy an optional buffet lunch at the Porto Canoas restaurant nestled beside the Iguaçu River above the falls. Next up is a visit to the nearby Bird Park, which is set within a 16-hectare area of sub-tropical rain forest. The park provides shelter for around over 1,000 butterflies and reptiles. All in all, there are over 150 avian species here. Bird Park is special for the fact that most of the cages are huge, allowing the birds and animals to roam and fly free. Visitors may enter those enclosures and admire all the beauty of the exotic colourful birds. The visit will take several hours and you will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide. Afterwards, return to your hotel for the evening.
 

DAY 3

Leisure Day

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards, the day is free for you to enjoy at your own leisure. Alternatively, optional tours may be arranged. Speak to your travel agent for more details.
 

DAY 4

Transfer to Rio de Janeiro

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, followed by a transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and transferred to your new hotel on Copacabana Beach.

DAY 5

Christ the Redeemer and Corcovado Mountain

Enjoy a sumptuous Brazilian buffet breakfast followed by an excursion to the celebrated Christ the Redeemer monument on top of Corcovado Mountain. A cog train will take you up to the top of the mountain from where you will have a spectacular view of Rio de Janeiro and Guanabara Bay. Once down from the mountain you will proceed by bus to some of Rio’s most exquisite beaches, such as Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. Having worked up an appetite you will enjoy lunch in a churrascaria steakhouse, which, aside from steak, also serves and seafood options. After lunch, return to your hotel and the rest of the day is free to spend at your leisure.

Free Day in Rio

DAY 7

Sugar Loaf Mountain and Rio Tour

After your Brazilian buffet breakfast, you will be transferred in your air-conditioned vehicle to Sugar Loaf Mountain. A cable car will take you to the top of the mountain, which offers a panoramic view of the city and Copacabana, Botafogo and Flamengo beaches. From there the tour continues to the historical heart of Rio de Janeiro, which dates back to the mid-16th century, with its colonial building and churches. The financial downtown offers a sharp contrast but is no less spectacular. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, the rest of the day is free to spend as you wish.

Another Free Day in Rio

Rio Departure
